Hi !
I can not blog from school. I am not sure when the problem will be resolved.
My reading class has started our first story Dragon Gets By. I will post spelling words, vocabulary words, and high frequency words for each story.
My math class will be doing a review this week. We will be working in our workbooks chapter 1.
I will also have homework on Tuesday and Thursday only in math. We will do Saxon math side "A" together in class and their homework will be side "B". They can bring that to me in the morning before reading or at math time.
It is very hot this week outside and it is fine if the kids bring in water bottles. I drink throughout the day and want the kids to be able to also. We have a water fountain in our room and they are welcome to get drinks when needed.
This has been a wonderful start to 2nd grade. I am enjoying all of my students greatly!!!!!!!!
Talk to ya later!!!

Welcome
I am very excited to be back at school. There are a few things I would like to remind you of:
1. Monday, August 23 will be our open house. It will be from 5:30 to 7:00. I will be in my room a little late because my own child has open house for 7th grade.
2. Students first day will be Tuesday, August 24.
3. I would also like to address an allergy concern in our class this year. We have a student who is allergic to peanuts. This is a serious allergy and needs to be handled with care from all of us. This is why I am asking you PLEASE DO NOT send in anything that has peanuts, nuts, peanut oil or peanut butter in it for snack. I appreciate your cooperation in this matter. I want to assure ALL children are safe in our classroom. Thank you!!
I am looking forward to a GREAT year and if you have any questions or concerns please contact me. Thanks and talk to ya later!!!
