Hello everyone!!

This week we will be having the Iowa test for 2nd grade. This will be on Tuesday and Wednesday. It is important to have your child well rested and also a good breakfast.

Reading- We will begin our unit on poetry Monday. I will provide the students with a poetry journal.
Tuesday and Wednesday we will be doing the Iowa test.

Thursday and Friday we will start our new story A Trip to the Firehouse.

Hello everyone!!!
Reading:

This week in reading we will be having our reading ACAP test on Monday, Oct 17. It is important that your child is here on time and eats a good breakfast.

We will not be having a spelling list or test this week.


We will be working on out animal reports on Wednesday and giving our reports on Thursday.

Your child will need to bring in a posterboard to display thier work.



MATH: We will be taking the Math ACAP on Tuesday, October 18. Please make sure your child is on time and they eat a good breakfast.


FUN TIMES AT ADENA :

Wednesday , October 19th will be family literacy night for Adena Elementary.
Our theme is camping and we have some wonderful activities planned for your family. k-2 will be from 5:30 to 6:30 and 3-5 will be from 7:00 to 8:00.
I hope you and your family will attend it will be a great night for all.


October 20- This is the end of the nine weeks.

Oct 20- PTO fundraiser kick off at school.


Oct 21- NO SCHOOL COTA DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Oct 17- PTO meeting at 6:00 at the school.


Our Halloween party will be October the 28th. We are asking that your child brings his/her costume to school in their book bag. They are NOT to wear them to school.
Our party will begin by getting dressed for the parade at 2:00. The parade will begin at 2:15 and our classroom party will follow.
